A lakefront chalet in Mauricie
The Lac a la Peche chalet is located on a quiet dead-end street in Saint-Mathieu-du-Parc, in the heart of the Mauricie region. Surrounded by tall mature white pines, it offers a peaceful setting with direct lake access. The lot slopes gently down to the shore, where a private dock awaits for swimming, fishing, or simply watching the sunset over the water.
The chalet comfortably accommodates up to 6 guests with its 2 bedrooms equipped with queen beds and 2 additional single beds. Two full bathrooms ensure comfort for all occupants. The kitchen is fully equipped with a ceramic stove, dishwasher and refrigerator. Drinking water is osmosis-filtered for optimal quality.
Water activities and outdoors
The lake provides many activity options. A 4-person pedal boat is available, and fishing rods are provided for anglers. The private dock allows easy access to swimming during summer months. Mauricie National Park, located just 10 minutes away by car, offers kilometres of hiking trails, canoeing and opportunities to discover the Canadian wilderness.
Remote work and modern comfort
The chalet is equipped with unlimited high-speed fibre optic internet, making it an ideal location for remote work. Combine productivity and nature by working in the morning and enjoying the lake in the afternoon. A slow combustion wood stove provides pleasant warmth on cool evenings. All dishes, cutlery, bedding and towels are provided for your stay.
The Mauricie region
Mauricie is a region rich in discoveries. Beyond the National Park, you can visit the Duche de Bicolline, a medieval site unique in North America. The region’s sugar shacks introduce you to Quebec’s maple syrup tradition. The recreational forest park offers family outdoor activities, and Indigenous cultural centres allow you to learn about First Nations traditions.

In summer, the lake is at the centre of all activities: swimming, pedal boating, fishing and kayaking. Autumn transforms the forest into a spectacular display of blazing colours, ideal for hiking and photography. Winter brings Nordic activities with snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling on surrounding trails. Spring is the season for sugar shacks and the return of life along the lakeshore.
Long-term rental
